The CURIS®
Radiofrequency Generator

- 4 MHz Frequency
Operates at a significantly higher frequency than competitors to provide precisely focused energy for delicate spine surgery.
- Tissue Preservation
Minimizes thermal damage to adjacent structures by concentrating heat strictly at the electrode tip.
- Articulating Precision
Features the TipControl RF Electrode for highly controlled and accurate positioning of energy within the tissue.

Articulating Precision
Precise and Tissue Conserving
The CURIS® Radiofrequency Generator with a working frequency of 4 MHz is the centerpiece of an effective, tissue-preserving resection and coagulation system. Compared to other radiofrequency devices available in the marketplace, the CURIS operates at a much higher frequency and provides precisely focused energy, ideal for applications in spine surgery. While safe coagulation of the tissue can be achieved for tissue at the electrode tip, neighboring areas of tissue experience significantly less heat. The occurrence of thermally induced tissue damage in adjacent structures is thereby minimized1,2. The actively articulating TipControl RF Electrode permits the controlled positioning of the radio frequency energy in the tissue.

TipControl RF Instruments
The precisely focused effect of the 4 MHz technology to conserve peripheral tissue makes the CURIS® Radiofrequency Generator ideal for applications close to sensitive structures, as necessary in e.g. neurosurgery and spine surgery. The complete radiofrequency surgery solution offers efficient coagulation and a range of cutting modes in monopolar or bipolar operation.

TipControl RF Instruments
Crafted with the surgeon’s needs in mind, the RF4 features a 360° rotating handle for seamless operation without hand repositioning, reducing fatigue and optimizing workflow. The ergonomic design ensures a comfortable and secure grip, enabling precise control during interlaminar and transforaminal procedures. An integrated thumb ring provides added stability for enhanced accuracy and dexterity.
The RF4’s articulated tip allows for precise energy delivery, supporting effective coagulation and ablation. Customizable working lengths make the RF4 adaptable to various surgical needs, ensuring superior performance and outcomes.

The TipControl Concept
TipControl instruments feature articulation at the distal end, enabling a broader range of motion in minimally invasive spinal operations. These instruments are essential for achieving precise maneuverability through small surgical ports.
